Welcome to Anabaptist Connect! We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our mobile application (the "App"). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access the App.

We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. We will alert you about any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date of this Privacy Policy. You are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of updates. You will be deemed to have been made aware of, will be subject to, and will be deemed to have accepted the changes in any revised Privacy Policy by your continued use of the App after the date such revised Privacy Policy is posted.

We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect via the App depends on the content and materials you use, and includes:

Personal Data

Demographic and other personally identifiable information (such as your name, email address, and phone number) that you voluntarily give to us when you register with the App or when you choose to participate in various activities related to the App.

Derivative Data

Information our servers automatically collect when you access the App, such as your IP address, your browser type, your operating system, your access times, and the pages you have viewed directly before and after accessing the App.

Location Information

We may request access or permission to track location-based information from your mobile device, either continuously or while you are using the App, to provide location-based services such as finding nearby churches or events. If you wish to change our access or permissions, you may do so in your device's settings.

Mobile Device Access

We may request access or permission to certain features from your mobile device, including your mobile device's camera (for profile photos and uploading images), microphone (for audio messages and recordings), calendar (for syncing church events), and storage (for downloading and caching content for offline use). If you wish to change our access or permissions, you may do so in your device's settings.

Push Notifications

We may request to send you push notifications regarding your account or the App. If you wish to opt-out from receiving these types of communications, you may turn them off in your device's settings.

How We Use Your Information

Having accurate information about you permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we may use information collected about you via the App to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Email you regarding your account or order
  • Enable user-to-user communications
  • Fulfill and manage purchases, orders, payments, and other transactions related to the App
  • Generate a personal profile about you to make your future visits to the App more personalized
  • Increase the efficiency and operation of the App

Each of these service providers is bound by their respective privacy policies and our data processing agreements, which require them to protect your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Tracking and Advertising

We do not track your activity across other companies' apps or websites for advertising purposes. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for targeted advertising based on your activity outside of our App.

Our App does not display third-party advertisements. Any analytics data we collect is used solely to improve the functionality and user experience of our App and is not shared with advertising networks.

If we ever change these practices to include tracking, we will request your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework before any such tracking occurs, and we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide the services you have requested, or for other essential purposes such as complying with our legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our policies.

In-App Account Deletion

You may delete your account directly within the App by navigating to Settings > Account > Delete Account. Upon initiating account deletion, you will be asked to confirm your request. Once confirmed, your account and associated personal data will be scheduled for deletion.

What Happens When You Delete Your Account

  • Your profile information, including name, email, and phone number, will be permanently deleted within 30 days
  • Content you have created may be anonymized or deleted depending on its nature
  • Some information may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as transaction records for tax compliance)
  • Backup copies may persist for up to 90 days before being permanently removed

Alternative Deletion Request

If you are unable to access the in-app deletion feature, you may also request account deletion by contacting us at support@anabaptistconnect.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Our App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.

For users between the ages of 13 and 18, we recommend that a parent or guardian review this Privacy Policy with them before using the App. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided us with personal information without their consent should contact us immediately at support@anabaptistconnect.com.

If your church uses the App for ministry programs involving minors, church administrators are responsible for obtaining appropriate parental consent in accordance with applicable laws, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States.

Security of Your Information

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse. Any information disclosed online is vulnerable to interception and misuse by unauthorized parties. Therefore, we cannot guarantee complete security if you provide personal information.
